Terms and Conditions

Process:

We are able to receive orders online or by telephone. On receipt of your order and the appropriate payment, we will process your order and deliver it to you.

By placing an order, you are agreeing to pay Check my deed to complete a search of the HM Land Registry for your specified property. If the property is registered, we will provide you with a copy of Register and/ or Title Plan.

Wherever possible, orders are processed electronically. By placing an order, you agree to provide a working email address for delivery of the document. We accept no responsibility if the email address provided is incorrect.

In some circumstances, documents may not be available electronically. We will then deliver your order by first class post. In these circumstances, you will be asked to provide your preferred delivery address.

Payment:

All orders must be paid for in advance by credit or debit card.

Non liability:

The documents we provide to you are official copies of those held by the Land Registry. Neither we nor any third party can be held responsible for any errors, omissions or inaccuracies in the documents. We may not be held liable for any loss or damage incurred by you or any third party, resulting from errors, omissions or inaccuracies.

Who we are:

Check My Deed is a trading style of PCL R&D Ltd, registered in the UK under company number 12088100. You understand that we have no affiliation with HM Government or any of its Land Registry offices.

Delays in delivering your order:

In certain circumstances, your order may be delayed for reasons outside our control. Neither we nor any third party accept any liability for any loss or damage incurred by you or any other party, incurred a s a result of a delay in your order being delivered.

Copyright:

All documents provided by Check My Deed and its website are subject to copyright protection. You are not permitted under any circumstances to reproduce, copy or use the website content without our prior permission in writing.

Cancellations:

If you wish to cancel your order, you have 14 days from the day you place your order. You must confirm the cancellation in writing by email.

If we have not begun to work on your order when you cancel, you will receive a full refund. If work has already started on your order when you cancel, you will be responsible for our administration costs of £10, together with any paid disbursements which we have incurred on your behalf.

If you try to cancel your order and work has been completed on it, or all the relevant documents have been ordered or despatched, no refund will be made.

If you try to cancel your order outside the cancellation period of 14 days after the order was placed, no refund will be made.

Working hours:

Our working hours are 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. Orders may be placed electronically outside these hours.

Unenforceable provision:

If any provision of these terms and conditions is held by any competent authority to be invalid or unenforceable in whole or in part, the validity of the other provisions of these terms and conditions and the remainder of the provision in question shall not be affected.

Law and jurisdiction:

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and all parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts
